By participating in our events, conferences, submitting your personal data, filling out an inquiry or registration form, subscribing to a newsletter or receiving other direct marketing messages, as well as by continuing to browse the BCCS cluster website, you confirm that you have read this Privacy Policy, understand its provisions and agree to comply with it.
The term “personal data” (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Data”) used in this Privacy Policy means any information or set of information from which we can directly or indirectly identify you, for example, by your name, surname, e-mail address, etc.
Our website (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”) may contain links to external websites (for example, links to social networks). Data Collection
Registration to the conference
When registering for the conference, the Controller processes the following Personal Data: Your name, surname; contact phone number; e-mail; if you are registering as a company representative: company name, company code, company address; name(s) and surname(s) of the participant(s) you are registering for participation in the conference. The source of this data is You, i.e. The Controller receives Personal Data when you fill out the conference registration form and indicate your Personal Data in it.
We process your Personal Data for the following purposes:
- for the purpose of registration for the conference;
- for the purpose of use of your contact information (name, phone number and e-mail) for communication with you (sending confirmation of successful registration to the conference, conference-related messages);
- for the purpose of informing you about an upcoming conference or providing other information related to the conference in which you will participate or have participated.
The specified Personal Data shall be processed based on your consent, for the purposes of organizing conference registration and participation, including communication (informing about the event);
On the basis of legitimate interest, when we inform you about relevant information related to the conference, ensuring that your interests and rights are not violated.
Conference newsletters and direct marketing
If you have given your consent to be informed about the conference on the conference Website, the Controller processes the following Personal Data: name, e-mail address, telephone number.
Data for sending newsletters is received during registration.
We process your Personal Data for direct marketing purposes on the basis of your consent, and for the purpose of marketing similar services, on the basis of our legitimate interest.
We process your above mentioned Personal Data for the following purposes:
- the purposes of sending newsletters about the conference you will participate or have participated;
- for the purpose of marketing similar conferences organized by the Controller;
- for the purpose of direct marketing.
This data is processed on the basis of your consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your Personal Data for the purpose of receiving newsletters and direct marketing at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” button in the received letter.
Filming and photographing conference moments
In order to increase the awareness of the BCCS cluster, as well as to capture the moments of the conference, photos and videos are taken during the conference. For this purpose, we process the following Personal Data of conference participants: facial image, video. We process this Personal Data on the basis of your consent to use your personal data and on the basis of our legitimate interest, in order to share the captured conference moments publicly, thus increasing the awareness of the activities of the BCCS cluster. You also have the right to object to your facial image being used to publish conference photos or visual material. If you do not agree to be filmed or photographed during the event, please inform the Controller during the event.
Personal Data Processing and Storage Period
Your Personal Data provided during conference registration is stored for 10 years. Your Personal Data for the direct marketing purposes is stored for 5 years.
After the expiration of the retention period for your Personal Data, we securely remove your Personal Data.
Data Security
We take all technical and administrative security measures necessary to protect your Personal Data from unauthorized loss, access, alteration, disclosure or deletion.
Recipients of Your Personal Data
Certain of your Personal Data may be transferred to our authorized data processors, such as IT or cloud service providers, partners with whom we co-organize a conference or event. We require our data processors to ensure appropriate protection of your Personal Data and ensure that your Personal Data is processed by data processors only for the purposes and in the manner that we have instructed them to process.
Personal Data may also be transferred to data recipients who act as data controllers (individually or jointly with us). For example, to social media managers, etc.

Submission of a Request to Exercise Data Subject Rights
You have the right to apply for the exercise of data subject rights by submitting a request to us in person, by mail, by e-mail or by using another means of communication, if it is possible to verify your identity (if, taking into account the specific circumstances, such verification is necessary).
The request to exercise data subject rights must be legible, signed by a person, and must indicate the name, surname, address and (or) other contact details of the data subject for communication or by which it is desired to receive a response regarding the exercise of data subject rights.
The data subject may exercise his/her rights himself/herself or through a representative. The representative of the person must indicate in the request his/her name, surname, address and (or) other contact details for communication, by which the representative of the person wishes to receive a response, as well as the name and surname of the represented person and provide a document confirming representation or a copy thereof. In case of doubt about the identity of the data subject, we may request additional information necessary to verify it.
Upon receipt of your request, we will provide you with information on the actions taken in accordance with the request no later than one month after receipt.
